Role Description The Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kozhikode. In this role, the counsellor guides students through the process of selecting suitable courses, universities, and countries aligned with their academic background and career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, and providing academic and career advice.

The counsellor coordinates with partner universities, explains admissions and visa procedures, and supports applicants in preparing documentation and meeting deadlines.



The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, conducting information sessions or workshops, and collaborating with the team to improve counseling processes and services.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to support learners at different stages of their education journey.
- Career counseling and education-related expertise to help students align academic plans with long-term professional goals.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain complex processes in a simple manner.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, study abroad consulting, or higher education advisory is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in office in Kozhikode, manage multiple student cases, and maintain accurate records and follow-up schedules.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and a learner-centered approach to guidance and support.
- Basic proficiency with office productivity tools and online communication platforms.
