Join a group of highly talented and motivated engineers with significant healthcare experience to help a thriving Healthcare function. You will be part of a team that will be modernizing and optimizing a legacy product to be efficiently run in a cloud-based environment. Partner with internal business, product and technical teams to analyze requirements to deliver solutions to complex issues.

Participate in development and oversee maintenance of code to ensure consistency, quality, best practices and performance of applications.

What you will do

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services using .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, and Angular in an Azure cloud environment.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering peers, product managers, QA, information security, production support, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, secure, and compliant solutions.
- Actively participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions, bringing a senior developer’s perspective to ensure quality and scalability.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines) to streamline deployments and improve release velocity.
- Automate repeatable testing and operational tasks, reducing manual intervention and enabling continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, configuration, and performance issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Contribute to improving system observability and monitoring (Azure App Insights, Azure Monitor), ensuring performance, stability, and resilience.

What you will bring

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET/.NET Core (C#), including Windows Services, Web Services, and high-volume, low-latency applications.
- Robust full-stack expertise: front-end (Angular), back-end (.NET Core/C#), and database (SQL Server 2016+).
- Advanced debugging, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills across application, database, and infrastructure layers.

- Proficiency in SQL Server query design, optimization, and performance tuning.




- Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to automate with PowerShell and apply scripting in enterprise environments.
- Minimum 3+ years working within an Agile methodology (SAFe preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to “think outside the box.”

What we would like to see

Core technical breadth

- Proficiency in C#, Visual Studio, SQL, Angular, ASP.NET.
- Experience with C++ in legacy systems.
- Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL and data workflows.
- Familiarity with IIS hosting and configuration.

Healthcare & Compliance

- Understanding compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PII, PHI handling).
- Experience with EDI transactions and healthcare claims workflows.

Cloud & Infrastructure (Azure-centric)

- Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, and related PaaS offerings.
- Familiarity with Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics for monitoring, performance, and observability.
- Exposure to containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes on AKS).

Security & Advanced Engineering

- Strong knowledge of application security, best practices, authentication/authorization (OAuth2, Azure AD).
- Ability in reverse engineering legacy applications for modernization and integration.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Driving engineering best practices.
