Location: Chennai

Position Overview

The Vice President of Delivery is a senior executive accountable for end-to-end delivery performance, quality, and P&L; across multiple practice areas. Managing a global delivery portfolio exceeding USD $100M, this leader will drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS), utilization, and margin optimization.

Partnering closely with Practice Heads, Account Managers, and Regional Leadership, the VP will translate business strategy into predictable execution while serving as the primary escalation point for delivery governance, risk management, and client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Leadership & Operational Excellence

- Cross-Practice Ownership: Own end-to-end delivery outcomes across assigned practices, enforcing consistent delivery standards, methodologies, and governance.
- Predictable Execution: Implement robust governance frameworks (RAID logs, stage-gate reviews, escalation protocols) to ensure predictable, scalable execution and remediate at-risk accounts.
- Metrics & Margins: Directly monitor and optimize key delivery metrics, including utilization, realization, SLA adherence, gross margins, CSAT/NPS, and quality.
- Executive Sponsorship: Act as delivery sponsor on large strategic engagements; sign off on solutioning, staffing, and delivery feasibility before deal completion.
- Portfolio & Revenue Growth: Grow a $100M+ delivery portfolio by partnering with Sales and Account leaders to drive expansion, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

2. Technology & Innovation

- AI & Automation Integration: Drive the adoption of AI-augmented delivery, automation, and up-to-date engineering practices to expand margins and improve client outcomes.
- Delivery Platforms:



Sponsor platform and tooling investments to scale delivery capacity without linear headcount expansion.
- Continuous Improvement: Institutionalize standard delivery processes and facilitate cross-practice knowledge sharing.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Senior Client Engagement: Serve as the executive delivery escalation point for key accounts, engaging directly with client leadership.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Align with Practice Heads, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and HR to integrate delivery capability into broader business strategies.
- Executive Cadence: Lead regular operational and delivery reviews with practice leads and regional executives, ensuring clear options and proactive risk mitigation.

4. People Leadership & Talent Development

- Organization Building: Direct delivery org design, span of control, and capability planning across scaling practices.
- Leadership Bench: Build succession plans for critical delivery roles through structured L&D;, career pathing, and internal mobility programs.
- Culture & Retention: Foster a high-performance, accountable culture while managing talent engagement and attrition metrics.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Master’s or MBA preferred.
- Experience: 20+ years of progressive delivery leadership experience in IT Services, Consulting, Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Digital Engineering.
- Portfolio Ownership: Proven track record running and growing a USD $100M+ delivery portfolio with direct accountability for margins, utilization, CSAT, and quality within a Global Capability Center (GCC) or global delivery model.
- Commercial Growth: Demonstrated ability to drive account expansion, cross-sell, and upsell alongside Sales and Account leadership.
- Practice Orchestration: Extensive experience managing multiple practice heads or delivery leads across varying technical domain ares
