Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Role
Conducting Routine AGL System Maintenance:
Perform scheduled inspections and routine maintenance on AGL systems, identifying potential faults to ensure reliable functionality.
Assist in preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and prevent unplanned outages.
Conduct preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of AGL systems, including runway, taxiway, and apron lighting.
Assist in diagnosing faults, repairing issues promptly, and minimizing system downtime.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure AGL systems meet DGCA/ICAO standards through periodic compliance checks, and assist with photometric testing and PAPI calibration.
Support timely documentation and adherence to regulatory compliance to maintain airport operational safety.
Support in Fault Identification and Quick Resolution:
Monitor AGL systems to identify any operational issues and work with the team to provide immediate solutions to maintain system uptime.
Respond promptly during emergency situations to restore AGL functionality, working alongside other maintenance staff.
Safety and Risk Management:
Follow strict safety protocols during maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure team safety.
Identify and report potential risks or hazards related to AGL operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections, contributing to effective maintenance planning.
Prepare reports on system reliability and functionality to support data-driven decisions for maintenance schedules.
Support for System Upgrades & Projects:
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of recent AGL systems under the guidance of the Lead - AGL.
Provide technical input for upgrades or modifications to existing systems.
Internal and External Coordination:
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to manage parts replacements and ensure timely repairs, maintaining AGL system availability.
Coordinate with internal teams, including operations and safety, to align AGL maintenance activities with airport requirements.
Collaborate with airside operations, ATC, and other stakeholders to schedule maintenance tasks without disrupting airport operations.
Spare Management:
Ensure availability of essential spare parts by maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with procurement for timely replenishment.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of AGL systems or similar electrical systems in airport or industrial settings
Certifications:
Certification in AGL systems (ICAO/FAA/DGCA preferred).
Awareness of safety protocols in high-risk environments..
