What you'll do...
As the Senior Director – eCommerce for Sam’s Club’s India Development Center (IDC) in Chennai, you will lead a multi-domain engineering organization that builds and operates the technology platforms that power Sam’s Club’s eCommerce business. Your scope spans eCommerce (Member Journeys like Cart & Checkout, Amends & Services like Tire & Battery Center, Health & Wellness, Digital Cakes etc.). You will convert strategy into scalable software, data, and AI solutions—across mobile, cloud services, while building a high-performing leadership bench and collaborating closely with U.S. product, business, and operations partners.

As a leader based out of Chennai, you will also be a site lead & people leader for all the cross functional teams representing Sam’s Club

- Manage cross‑domain portfolio, governance, and investment.
- Grow and mentor a solid leadership bench

What you’ll bring (Top qualifications)

Deep eCommerce domain & Operational expertise.
Extensive experience with technologies that support eCommerce & customer facing journeys
Proven large‑scale engineering leadership.
15+ years of experience in software engineering, with 8+ years leading multi‑layer organizations (through Directors and Sr. Managers) delivering mission‑critical systems. Demonstrated success running complex, multi‑product portfolios and platform roadmap
