Description
The OpenAI Solutions Architect — Azure & GPT Platforms designs enterprise GPT-4o, Azure OpenAI, and Codex solutions for EXL clients. The role acts as the commercial track lead under the EXL–OpenAI go-to-market partnership within the India AI Center of Excellence.
The architect owns technical solutioning for OpenAI-based engagements and partners with OpenAI teams on GTM motions. OpenAI partner-portal certification is required, and a strong Azure cloud background is preferred.

- Design enterprise solutions using GPT-4o, Azure OpenAI, and Codex, including RAG, agentic, and Assistants API patterns.
- Act as the commercial track lead under the EXL–OpenAI GTM partnership, aligning solution design with joint go-to-market motions.
- Lead technical discovery, solution architecture, effort estimation, and solution reviews for OpenAI engagements.
- Define patterns for prompt orchestration, tool/function calling, guardrails, and evaluation on the OpenAI/Azure stack.
- Produce reference architectures, accelerators,
and solution design artefacts for the OpenAI CoE.
- Partner with OpenAI teams on enablement, certification, and solution acceleration, staying current with model and platform updates.
- Guide GenAI developers to ensure architectural consistency, security, and delivery quality.
Must-Have Skills
- 7–9 years of experience in solution architecture, AI/ML, or software engineering, with hands-on GenAI delivery.
OpenAI & Azure Architecture
- Hands-on experience designing solutions with GPT-4o, Azure OpenAI, and Codex.
- Strong expertise in RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, prompt orchestration, and evaluation.
- OpenAI partner-portal certification required (held or in progress).
- Strong Azure cloud background (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, containerized deployment, CI/CD, monitoring) preferred.
