Job Purpose: The Shift Engineer - Mechanical manages mechanical equipment, executes maintenance activities, responds to emergencies, ensures safety, collaborates with stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement for optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Shift Operations Management:
- Supervise mechanical systems and utilities during shifts, ensuring effective operation and swift resolution of issues to maintain continuous production.
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
- Oversee the inventory of mechanical components and spare parts, ensuring accurate tracking and timely replenishment to support maintenance operations and minimize equipment downtime, while adhering to budget constraints.
Manages Mechanical Equipment:
- Monitor and control pumps, compressors, and conveyors for optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure equipment availability.
Preventive Maintenance and Inspections:
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency, following established protocols to identify potential issues and minimize unplanned downtime.
