Role Overview
The Clinician will be responsible for supporting TB screening and clinical referral processes as part of the project at the district level. This role involves conducting clinical assessments, interpreting screening outcomes,
ensuring referral linkages with public health systems, and supporting the follow-up of identified cases. The Clinician will work in close coordination with the District Coordinator, school health teams, community health workers, and local TB programme officials to ensure timely and ethical medical engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Screening & Assessment:
· Review TB screening outcomes and provide clinical interpretation and follow-up recommendations.
· Support the medical review of symptomatic children and refer them to the appropriate health facilities for further diagnosis or treatment as per NTEP protocols.
· Conduct in office clinical checks (where necessary) at designated schools or community centres.
Coordination with Health Systems:
· Liaise with RBSK teams, PHCs/CHCs, and NTEP units to facilitate diagnostic services (e.g., sputum collection, chest X-rays) for referred children.
