Polarion Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Polarion Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Siemens Polarion ALM. The candidate will be responsible for configuring, customizing, developing, and supporting Polarion solutions for enterprise engineering and product lifecycle management environments.

You will work closely with business analysts, PLM consultants, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable Polarion solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and customize Siemens Polarion ALM solutions based on business requirements.

- Configure Polarion Work Items, workflows, custom fields, permissions, notifications, and document structures.

- Create and maintain LiveDocs, templates, Collections, and project configurations.

- Develop Polarion scripts, macros, and customizations using Velocity and Java.

- Develop and consume REST APIs for Polarion integrations.

- Support integration of Polarion with other enterprise applications and PLM systems.

- Perform data import, export, migration, and transformation activities.

- Troubleshoot Polarion application, workflow, configuration, and integration issues.

- Collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Participate in testing, deployment, release management, and production support.

- Prepare technical documentation,



configuration guides, and solution documentation.

- Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills

- 2–3 years of experience in Polarion development/customization.

- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Polarion ALM.

- Good understanding of Polarion Work Items, LiveDocs, workflows, permissions, and traceability.

- Experience with Velocity scripting and Polarion macros.

- Good knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming.

- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.

- Working knowledge of XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Basic knowledge of SQL/database concepts.

- Understanding of requirements management and test management processes.

- Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Solid communication and collaboration skills.

Positive to Have

- Experience with Polarion administration.

- Experience in Polarion data migration or upgrades.

- Exposure to Siemens Teamcenter or other PLM systems.

- Knowledge of ALM/PLM integrations.

- Experience working in automotive, manufacturing, medical devices, or other engineering environments.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
