Job Description: A Fleet Supervisor directs the daily operations, maintenance, and compliance of an organization’s vehicle inventory. They minimize equipment downtime, supervise drivers and mechanics, and ensure all transport activities remain cost-effective and strictly adhere to local and national safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

- Vehicle Maintenance: Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to extend vehicle lifespan and reduce unexpected roadside breakdowns.

- Driver & Staff Supervision: Oversee, train, and evaluate drivers and mechanics. Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and manage shift schedules.

- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure operations comply with governing regulatory bodies (e.g., DOT compliance). Oversee licensing, registration, and inspection processes.

- Cost & Budget Management: Monitor operating costs, track fuel consumption, and manage budgets for parts, servicing, and new asset procurement.

- Inventory Control: Track and order necessary spare parts, supplies,



and materials to ensure the mechanical workshop operates efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Automotive Technology is preferred.

- Experience: Typically requires 2–5 years of experience in fleet management, transportation logistics, or automotive maintenance, including prior supervisory experience.

- Skills: Solid leadership, proficiency in fleet management software/MS Office, and solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.

- Licenses: A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record are mandatory; specialized mechanic certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly advantageous.
