Role Description
Meet Your Therapist, based in Bangalore, Karnataka, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist to join our team. The role involves applying psychological knowledge and evidence-based practices to support clients in addressing behavioural concerns, emotional difficulties, and mental health challenges.
This position is ideal for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and a genuine commitment to delivering ethical, compassionate, and high-quality mental health care.
Key Responsibilities -
- Apply Psychological Knowledge: Apply psychological theories, principles, and evidence-based practices to understand and address clients’ behavioural, emotional, and mental health concerns.
- Client Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to understand clients’ concerns, functioning, and presenting difficulties.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and the specific needs of each client.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients in managing emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties.
- Client Communication: Demonstrate strong communication and active listening skills while working with clients, including those presenting with complex or challenging concerns.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with psychologists, psychiatrists, healthcare professionals, and other relevant team members to ensure coordinated and quality care.
- Continuous Monitoring: Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress and make appropriate modifications to treatment plans when required.
- Client Support: Provide ongoing psychological support, guidance, and psychoeducation while being responsive to clients’ individual needs.
- Referrals: Recommend appropriate referrals for additional assessments, investigations, specialist consultations, or other interventions when clinically indicated.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive records of assessments, sessions,
treatment plans, referrals, and client progress.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Psychology or a relevant field; doctoral-level qualification will be an added advantage.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 1 years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health or clinical setting.
- Technical Competence: Sound knowledge and practical experience in psychological assessment, case formulation, and therapeutic interventions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and professionals.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to varying client needs, clinical situations, and a dynamic work setting.
- Professionalism: Strong commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, client safety, and delivering high-quality mental health care.
