- Procuring raw spices (e.g., cumin, pepper, cardamom, chili) directly from farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and wholesale markets.

- Identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with domestic and international suppliers. [1, 2, 3]

- Market Analysis & Price Forecasting:

- Analyzing global and regional commodity trends, crop yields, and seasonal variations to optimize purchasing times and manage costs. [1, 2, 3, 4]

- Quality Assurance & Compliance:

- Ensuring raw spices meet strict food safety, moisture, and grading standards.

- Ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., pesticide limits, certifications) required for both domestic and export markets. [1, 2, 3, 4]

- Inventory & Supply Chain Planning:

- Collaborating with production and sales teams to align procurement volumes with market demand and prevent stockouts.

- Cost Negotiation & Contract Management:

- Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
