Job Description: Production Supervisor

- Company: Narayan Powertech – Standex Electronics
- Location: Luna – Padra, Vadodara, Gujarat
- Department: Production / Manufacturing
- Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Note: This role has to work in shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

- Supervise daily production operations and ensure achievement of production plans.
- Monitor work progress and machine utilization to maximize productivity.
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Purchase, and Stores departments for smooth production flow.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders and dispatch commitments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wastage.

Manpower Management

- Allocate work to operators and technicians based on skill and workload.
- Monitor workforce attendance, discipline, and productivity.
- Train and guide production employees on work procedures and safety practices.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

Quality Management

- Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality Control team for inspections and corrective actions.
- Reduce rework, rejection, and customer complaints through process control.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct shop floor safety inspections and toolbox talks.




- Report and investigate production-related incidents and near misses.

Inventory & Resource Control

- Monitor raw material consumption and reduce wastage.
- Coordinate with Stores department for material availability.
- Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Prepare daily production reports and KPI dashboards.
- Analyze production data and suggest corrective actions.
- Participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

- Full-Time Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3 to 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in supervising production teams and shop floor operations.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement activities or similar concepts

Required Skills:

- Leadership and team management.
- Production planning and scheduling.
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies
