nRole Purpose
nTo take ownership of the company's year-end financial reporting and UK corporation tax compliance, ensuring statutory accounts, tax returns, and payments are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time. The role acts as the key link between the business, external accountants, and HMRC.
nKey Responsibilities
nYear-End Accounts

- n
- Prepare or oversee preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102 / FRS 105 as applicable)n
- Ensure accounting records are complete and accurate at year endn
- Manage year-end close process, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsn




- Review and approve final accounts prior to director sign-offn
- Coordinate filing of accounts with Companies Housen

nCorporation Tax

- Prepare or coordinate preparation of the CT600 Corporation Tax returnn
- Calculate corporation tax liabilities and ensure timely paymentn
- Prepare supporting tax computations and iXBRL submissionsn
- Identify and apply:n
- Allowable expensesn
- Capital allowancesn
- Loss reliefn
- Group relief (where relevant)n
- Act as main point of contact for HMRC on corporation tax mattersn
- Support HMRC queries, compliance checks, or enquiriesn
