Role: Business Analyst – Life Insurance
Location: Mumbai (Vile Parle)

Key Responsibilities
Develop a deep functional understanding of Finance & Accounting processes in Life Insurance, with a solid focus on Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) implementation, including IND AS 117 / IFRS 17 alignment where applicable.
Understand the end-to-end insurance value chain and its impact on financial reporting, including policy lifecycle, revenue recognition, liabilities, and reserves.
Work closely with Finance teams, actuaries, consultants, and business stakeholders to capture accounting and reporting requirements clearly and unambiguously.
Translate business and accounting requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and system requirements.
Map financial and accounting requirements to source systems, data entities, and reporting structures.
Collaborate with data modelling, ETL, reporting,



and technology teams to ensure accurate implementation of IND AS-related requirements.
Guide technical teams to ensure financial data models (LDM/PDM) reflect accounting rules, reporting hierarchies, and compliance needs.
Drive functional design deliverables, including BRDs, FSDs, prototypes, reconciliation frameworks, and test scenarios.
Support financial data validation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy during implementation.
Lead and manage stakeholder discussions, workshops, and reviews with client teams across Finance, IT, and Business functions.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including IRDAI guidelines and IND AS reporting standards.
Perform gap analysis between existing GAAP systems and IND AS requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
Support UAT, validation cycles, and audit readiness for accounting implementations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure baseline and sign-off of all functional deliverables.
