An Accounts Executive in a manufacturing company is much more than bookkeeping—you’re helping manage the financial backbone of operations like production, inventory, and vendor payments. The role blends accounting, compliance, and coordination with multiple departments.
? Core Purpose
To ensure accurate financial records, smooth cash flow, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements while supporting daily manufacturing operations.
? Key Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day accounting
Recording transactions (sales, purchases, expenses)
Maintaining ledgers and journals
Bank reconciliation
2. Accounts payable & receivable
Managing vendor invoices and payments
Tracking customer payments and follow-ups
Handling credit terms and outstanding balances
3. Inventory & cost tracking
Monitoring raw material and finished goods costs
Working with production teams on stock records
Assisting in cost analysis and budgeting
4. Taxation & compliance
GST filing and returns
TDS calculations and payments
Ensuring compliance with government regulations
5.
Financial reporting
Preparing monthly reports (P&L;, balance sheet basics)
Assisting audits
Supporting senior accountants/finance managers
