About the role:

As a VulnOps Engineer at Smartstream, you will own the end-to-end vulnerability operations function across our entire product portfolio. You will manage a single, unified, risk-scored vulnerability backlog that consolidates findings from SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, IaC scanning, secret scanning, CSPM, LLM-based code scans, manual penetration tests, and customer-reported issues.

You will design, build, and operate the ASPM/RBVM platform - tuning integrations, configuring risk-scoring logic (exploitability, reachability, business impact), driving deduplication, and expanding automated PR-based remediation. You will partner with engineering teams to ensure SLA-driven remediation, surface breach risk proactively, and continuously reduce mean-time-to-remediate.

This role sits at the intersection of security, engineering, and automation. The objective is to deliver measurable risk reduction to the business - reducing noise to engineering teams while ensuring critical vulnerabilities are remediated within agreed SLAs

Key responsibilities:





Own and operate the enterprise vulnerability management program, maintaining a unified backlog of security findings from multiple security scanning tools, assessments, customer reports, and emerging detection capabilities.
Manage and optimize the ASPM/RBVM platform, including tool integrations, risk scoring, business-context tagging, vulnerability prioritization, and dashboard reporting.
Drive vulnerability remediation and SLA compliance, partnering with product and engineering teams to prioritize, track, and reduce security risk in line with established remediation timelines.
Drive remediation of cloud and infrastructure security findings, partnering with Cloud Security and Engineering teams to track, prioritize, and address AWS security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, container security findings, and infrastructure security risks.
