Key Responsibilities1. General Accounting
Independently manage day-to-day accounting transactions.
Review and post journal, payment, receipt, purchase, sales, debit note, and credit note entries.
Ensure proper accounting classification and supporting documentation for all transactions.
Review accounting entries prepared by junior team members, wherever applicable.
Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
Ensure timely posting and closure of accounting transactions.
Monitor suspense, advance, and miscellaneous accounts and ensure timely clearance.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
2. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
Review vendor invoices, purchase bills, debit notes, credit notes, and supporting documents.
Verify invoices with purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and other relevant documents.
Ensure proper accounting and timely processing of vendor invoices.
Maintain vendor ledgers and conduct periodic reconciliation.
Prepare vendor outstanding and ageing reports.
Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Commercial,



and other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Prepare payment proposals/schedules for management approval.
Ensure proper accounting of advances, retention amounts, and other vendor-related transactions.
3. Accounts Receivable & Customer Management
Manage customer invoicing and accounting of sales transactions.
Maintain customer ledgers and monitor outstanding balances.
Prepare and review receivables ageing reports.
Coordinate with Sales/Commercial teams for collection follow-up.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor customer advances and ensure proper adjustment against invoices.
Support management in monitoring working capital and receivables.
4. Bank & Cash Management
Prepare and review monthly/weekly bank reconciliation statements.
Verify bank transactions and identify unreconciled items.
Account for bank charges, interest, direct credits/debits, and other bank-related tr
