Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and academically strong Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Bioinformatics with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Programming and Computational Biology.
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate B.Tech. and postgraduate M.Sc. students, mentoring students in academic and research projects, and actively pursuing research in emerging areas of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
The selected candidate will also play an important role in the development of the School's AI & Digital Biology Cluster, contributing to interdisciplinary research and the application of AI, computational approaches and digital technologies to biological, biomedical and healthcare problems.




Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Responsibilities
• Teach B.Tech. and M.Sc. students in areas including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Python, Programming, Data Science, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
• Develop and deliver practical, application-oriented courses integrating programming, AI/ML and biological sciences.
• Design laboratory exercises, assignments and project-based learning activities that enable students to apply computational approaches to biological problems.
• Mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic projects, dissertations and interdisciplinary research projects.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the introduction of emerging technologies and computational approaches into Bioinformatics education.
