Position: Process Design Engineer Intern
Department:Process Design
Duration: 3 Months
Qualification: B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
Experience: Freshers
Responsibilities
•Preparation of Process Design Basis, Process Simulations, Engineering Calculations and Equipment Data Sheets
• Development of engineering drawings including BFD, PFD, H&MB;, P&ID; and Material Selection Diagrams
• Process simulations, hydraulics and modelling to optimize process performance
• Pump and line sizing through calculations and software
• Sizing of Control Valves, PSV, Pressure Vessels and Separators
• Preparation of process and functional specifications
• Identification and troubleshooting of process-related issues
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines and participation in
Design Reviews, Client Meetings, HAZID and HAZOP
Skills / Knowledge
Candidates with knowledge or interest in:
• Process calculations and pressure drop calculations
• Equipment and instrument process datasheets
• Pump sizing and calculations
• Control valve sizing
• Heat exchangers and cooling towers
• Storage tank design and classification
• BFD, PFD, UFD and P&ID;
• Piping and instrument lists
• Chemical industry codes and standards
• ASPEN HYSYS, HTRI or PIPENET
