Position: Quality Manager – Fabrication

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager – Fabrication to lead and manage QA/QC activities for fabrication operations. The candidate should have solid expertise in welding, fabrication inspection, NDT, quality systems, customer inspections, and quality team management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the complete QA/QC function for fabrication activities.
Develop and implement QAP, ITP, inspection procedures, and quality plans.
Ensure fabrication activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.
Monitor fit-up, welding, dimensional inspection, NDT, PWHT, and final inspection.
Review and control WPS, PQR, WPQ/WQT and welder qualifications.
Ensure material inspection, MTC verification, identification, and traceability.
Coordinate VT, PT, MT, UT, RT and other NDT activities.
Manage NCR, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate customer, consultant and third-party inspections.




Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits.
Monitor vendor and subcontractor quality performance.
Review inspection reports, weld maps, NDT reports and final quality dossiers.
Establish quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Lead, train and manage the QA/QC inspection team.
Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Projects and Procurement teams.
Ensure timely closure of all quality issues and customer observations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in fabrication QA/QC.
Experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, piping, structural fabrication, or industrial projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, API and ISO 9001 requirements.
NDT/welding inspection certifications will be an added advantage.
Strong leadership, communication and customer-handling skills.
