Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat for a General Insurance – Non-Motor Underwriter. The underwriter will assess and evaluate non-motor insurance proposals, including property, liability, and other commercial and personal lines, to determine appropriate coverage terms, premiums, and conditions. Daily responsibilities include analyzing risk information and documentation, reviewing proposals from agents and relationship managers,



and ensuring compliance with company underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing quotes, issuing policies, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams to improve underwriting processes and product offerings. The underwriter will also interact with clients and intermediaries to clarify policy terms, address queries, and support renewal and claims-related underwriting decisions.
Qualifications
Solid analytical and risk assessment skills, with the ability to interpret financial, technical, and legal documents for non-motor general insurance risks.
Sound knowledge of general insurance concepts, especially non-motor segments (e.g., property, liability, health, and commercial lines), underwriting principles, and regulatory guidelines.
