Summary
The Company is seeking a Lead Engineer - Embedded Hardware Design to lead the architecture, design, development, validation, and technical execution of embedded electronic hardware solutions for brake electronics and transit applications. This position requires robust expertise in embedded hardware design, technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and product lifecycle execution. The successful candidate will work closely with global engineering teams, systems engineering, software, validation, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers to deliver high-quality, safety-compliant electronic products.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of embedded electronic hardware solutions for transit and brake control applications.
Own technical execution of hardware work packages from concept through validation and industrialization.
Review and guide the design of Electronic Control Units (ECUs), power electronics, I/O modules, sensor and actuator interface circuits, communication interface hardware, and embedded control electronics for safety-critical applications.




Drive schematic design reviews, component selection, PCB design reviews, technical analyses, and reliability assessments.
Participate in hardware architecture discussions and support key technical decision-making activities.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, applicable regulations, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Validation teams to develop robust end-to-end system solutions.
Analyze system requirements and translate them into detailed hardware design specifications.
Support trade-off studies involving performance, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and safety.
Lead technical investigations, failure analysis, and root-cause resolution for complex hardware issues.
Provide technical guidance during design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering governance activities.
