Preferred Experience
5–7 years of experience in UAV flight testing, piloting, and system validation
Exposure to flight dynamics, control systems, and UAV operations
Hands-on experience with environmental flight testing (wind, altitude, temperature)
Required Skill Sets & Tools
Autopilot: ArduPilot, PX4
GCS: Mission Planner, QGroundControl
Data Analysis: MATLAB, MS Excel, Python
Flight Log Tools: Flight Review or equivalent
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering or related field
Key Responsibility Areas
Flight Testing & Execution
Conduct advanced manual flight operations (fixed-wing, multirotor, tailsitter)
Execute test cards and structured flight test plans
Perform environmental testing (wind, altitude, temperature)
Ensure compliance with DGCA/CEMILAC flight test directives and safety protocols
Control & Performance Tuning
Execute PID/control loop tuning and advanced control strategies for stability and mission performance
Perform IC engine calibration (carburetor / EFI tuning in-flight)
Evaluate propulsion system performance and efficiency
Data Analysis & Telemetry
Analyze flight logs and telemetry data using MATLAB and flight log tools (e.g., Flight Review)
Identify anomalies, performance gaps, and trends
Develop automated post-flight analysis scripts and generate structured test reports for certification
Ground Systems & Integration
Operate and configure Ground Control Stations (Mission Planner, QGroundControl)
Support payload and mission system integration across datalink and GCS platforms
Assist in mission system validation and operational readiness
