Working Days- Monday- Saturday
Working Hours- 9:30am-6:30pm
Overview-
A highly experienced and motivated Head in Design Department with a strong background in SolidWorks and sheet metal design is being sought. This role is crucial for leading the design and development of complex sheet metal components and assemblies, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and proven expertise in creating detailed engineering documentation while adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities-
· Lead and oversee the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies, from concept to production, utilizing SolidWorks.
· Generate comprehensive 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) that comply with industry standards and best practices.
· Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and procurement,



to ensure seamless design-to-execution transitions.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers and production personnel, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing setting.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
· Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sheet metal engineering, incorporating relevant innovations into design practices.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and manufacturing process instructions.
Qualifications
· Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
· Experience: Minimum of 15-18 years of progressive experience in sheet metal design and fabrication, including a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
