Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Fern Denzong Hotel and Spa in Gangtok. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monitoring cash flow. The Finance Manager prepares periodic financial statements and reports, supports budgeting and forecasting, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.



The role involves analyzing financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with department heads to maintain accurate financial records and control hotel expenses. The Finance Manager also works closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and vendors.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and hotel or hospitality finance.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and financial models.
Ability to manage cash flow, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and perform accurate bank reconciliations.
Understanding of local tax laws, compliance requirements, and internal control best practices.
