Role Description The Transmission Line Surveyor is a full-time, in office role based in Guwahati. This position involves conducting detailed field surveys for transmission line routes, including route alignment, profiling, and data collection using appropriate surveying instruments and tools. The surveyor will prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, and reports, and coordinate with engineering and project teams to support design and construction planning. Responsibilities also include verifying site conditions,



identifying potential obstacles or risks along proposed routes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety protocols, and collaborating with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

Strong field surveying skills, including route survey, topographical survey, and use of instruments such as total stations, GPS devices, and leveling equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, transmission line layouts, and related engineering documents.
Working knowledge of basic surveying software or GIS tools for data recording, mapping, and reporting.
Understanding of power transmission infrastructure, right-of-way considerations, and relevant industry standards and safety practices.
Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and coordination with project teams and stakehold
