Role Overview
We are building a proprietary multi-manager trading platform in India that allocates the firm's capital and margin across a select group of external traders.
We are looking for a Senior Manager — Trading Operations & Middle Office to own the day-to-day operating infrastructure of the platform across traders, brokers, margin, risk, reconciliation, P&L; and performance reporting.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in proprietary trading, F&O; trading, or institutional broking operations.
Key Responsibilities
Trader & Broker Operations
Manage onboarding and off-boarding of external traders and brokers.
Maintain trader-broker-account mappings, trading IDs, APIs and access records.
Coordinate account setup, broker documentation and operational issues.
Ensure trading access is activated, modified and revoked appropriately.
Capital, Margin & Risk Operations
Implement capital and margin allocations approved by management.
Monitor broker balances, collateral, available margin and utilization.
Track intraday trader P&L;, exposures, drawdowns and risk limits.
Escalate margin shortages, limit breaches, unusual activity and operational issues.
Trade, Position & Cash Reconciliation
Reconcile daily trades, positions, cash and collateral against broker records.
Investigate trade breaks, missing trades, incorrect mappings and unexplained differences.
Maintain an exception log and ensure breaks are resolved promptly.
P&L; & Performance
Independently calculate and validate trader-level and consolidated P&L.;
Calculate brokerage, transaction costs and other agreed expenses.
Maintain manager-level NAV, MTD/YTD performance, drawdowns and high-water marks.
Maintain accurate historical performance records for each trader and strategy.
Daily Reporting
Prepare a daily management tear sheet covering:
Platform and trader-level P&L;
Capital and margin utilization
Broker cash/collateral balances
Drawdowns and risk status
Reconciliation breaks
