Role Description The Senior Audit Executive role at VirtuAxel is a full-time, on-site position based in Mangaluru. The Senior Audit Executive will lead and execute audit assignments for clients across various industries, including planning audit scopes, performing detailed testing of transactions and controls, and reviewing financial statements and ledgers for accuracy and compliance. The role involves assessing internal controls, identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Senior Audit Executive will prepare clear audit reports, support clients during audit queries, coordinate with internal teams such as accounting and tax, and help maintain standardized audit methodologies and documentation. The position also includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to quality reviews, and supporting management in strengthening audit processes and client relationships.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment, with proven experience in statutory,



internal, or tax audits.
Solid foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting, including hands-on experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledger review.
Understanding of Indian taxation and compliance frameworks (e.g., GST, TDS, IT returns, ITC reconciliation) and ability to apply them in audit work.
Proficiency with common accounting and audit tools (such as Excel, accounting software, and working paper systems) and comfort with technology-driven workflows.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities, including the capacity to interact professionally with clients and support cross-functional teams.
