We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused General Practitioner (GP) to join a healthcare facility in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience and demonstrate strong capabilities in diagnosing and managing a broad range of medical conditions across outpatient and primary care settings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and ensuring patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive consultations, clinical assessments and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings and established medical guidelines.
Provide preventive healthcare, health education and patient counselling.
Manage common emergency and urgent medical presentations within the scope of GP practice.
Request and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
Prescribe medications safely and monitor treatment response.




Refer patients to specialists when clinically indicated.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical records.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety and clinical governance standards.
Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and continuing career development.
Ensure compliance with the healthcare facility's policies and applicable Oman Ministry of Health requirements.
MBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification.
Completed internship.
Minimum 5 years of relevant post-internship clinical experience.
Experience in General Practice / Primary Care is preferred.
Experience in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or ICU may be considered where relevant to the role.
Valid medical registration/licence in the country of current or most recent practice.
