Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to drive mechanical sales for our precision machining and manufacturing capabilities, with a robust focus on the defence and aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will bring technical understanding of precision machining processes, market intelligence, and established relationships within India's defence and aerospace ecosystem to generate and close business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and close business opportunities for precision-machined components across defence, aerospace, aero-engine, and allied sectors
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders — OEMs, Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers, DRDO, HAL, Ministry of Defence, and other defense procurement bodies
Track and respond to tenders, RFIs, and RFPs; navigate India's Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP/DAP), including vendor registration and empanelment processes
Develop and manage a target account list and pipeline; own revenue and order-booking targets




Support the company's AS9100D / NADCAP certification positioning as a sales and credibility lever with prospective clients
Assist in structuring and negotiating Joint Venture, MRO, and strategic partnership discussions with foreign OEMs
Gather and analyze market intelligence — competitor activity, pricing trends, upcoming defence procurement programs, and offset opportunities
Coordinate with technical/engineering teams to translate client requirements into feasible manufacturing proposals and quotations
Represent the company at industry events, defence expos, and OEM/vendor meetings
Ensure compliance with export control regulations (ITAR, SCOMET) and FDI norms relevant to defence manufacturing

Required Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory)
5+ years of experience in business development / sales within defence, aerospace, or precision manufacturing sectors
