Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with robust expertise in automotive sheet-metal product and tool design, including complex 3D part development, progressive tooling, CAD modelling, simulation, NPD, and tooling development.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop complex 3D sheet-metal components, press tools, dies, fixtures, and assemblies.
Develop progressive, compound, and other press tooling as per product and process requirements.
Prepare and review 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, GD&T;, and engineering documentation.
Conduct/interpret forming and tooling simulations for feasibility, manufacturability,



and design optimization.
Handle NPD, prototype development, design validation, ECN/ECR, and engineering changes.
Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality, Purchase, and NPD teams for design and tooling issues.
Support tool trials, modifications, corrections, and process improvements.
Optimize designs for quality, cost, productivity, manufacturability, and tool life.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain design revisions and technical records.

Qualifications & Skills
B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent.
10 to 12 years of relevant experience in automotive sheet-metal product and tooling design.
Strong hands-on knowledge of complex 3D part design and press tool/die design.
Experience in progressive tooling and tooling development.
Proficiency in UG NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD, GD&T;, BOM, engineering drawings, simulation, NPD, and ECN/ECR.
