Company Description The Applique is a Jaipur-based textile brand that blends the 400-year-old tradition of Sanganeri block printing with contemporary design for global markets. Working closely with multigenerational artisan families, the company focuses on preserving cultural heritage while supporting sustainable livelihoods. The Applique designs, manufactures, and exports premium block-printed textiles across home décor, apparel, and fashion categories, as well as custom collections for designers and labels. Every product is handcrafted using carved wooden blocks and eco-conscious dyes, resulting in unique textiles that combine traditional artistry with modern aesthetics.
Role Description The Photography Intern will support visual storytelling for The Applique’s products and artisan processes through high-quality photography and media content. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jaipur and involves planning and executing product and lifestyle shoots, including styling and arranging textiles to highlight design details. Daily tasks include capturing images of home décor, apparel,



and behind-the-scenes craftsmanship, assisting with basic video clips for social media or marketing, and organizing digital assets. The intern will also perform initial image selection and straightforward edits, collaborate with the design and marketing teams on visual concepts, and help maintain consistency with The Applique’s brand aesthetic.
Photography Intern – Product & E-commerce Photography
Main work:
Product photography for Etsy, Shopify & Instagram
Lifestyle/product photoshoots
Basic photo editing and retouching
Background removal and color correction
Creating product images according to marketplace requirements
Helping with styling, props, lighting and shoot setup
Maintaining organized product photos
Skills to look for:
Basic knowledge of DSLR/mirrorless/mobile photography
Understanding of lighting and composition
Photoshop/Lightroom/Canva knowledge is a plus
Creative eye for product
