Senior Architect Job Description

Position Title: Senior Architect / Senior Project Architect

Experience Level: 8–12+ years of post-qualification experience

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Reporting To: Principal Architect / Studio Director / Partners

Mandatory registration with local architectural licensing board.





Lead the architectural vision and design direction for multiple complex, large-scale projects simultaneously.

Establish design concepts, space programming philosophies, and architectural master planning guidelines.

Conduct peer reviews of design packages to ensure peak aesthetic quality, functional optimization, and design integrity.

Technical Direction & Quality Assurance

Serve as the ultimate authority on complex building envelope details, materials science, and construction methodologies.

Establish and audit firm-wide QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) protocols and drafting standards.

Project & Financial Management

Define project scopes, architectural fee structures, delivery schedules, and resource allocation plans.

Monitor project profitability, staff billable hours, and contractual obligations to prevent scope creep.

Manage high-value client relationships, acting as the primary escalation point
