Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Design Engineer with experience in CATIA and NX for the design and development of Automotive Exhaust Systems . The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, GD&T;, manufacturing processes, and product development within the automotive domain. The role involves designing exhaust components and assemblies while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive exhaust system components using CATIA V5 and NX .
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop and modify exhaust system layouts, brackets, hangers, mufflers, pipes, catalytic converter assemblies, and related components.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply GD&T; principles.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, CAE, Testing, Quality, and Purchasing.
- Support product development activities from concept to production.
- Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal engineering guidelines.
- Participate in design reviews and implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
- Conduct feasibility studies considering cost, performance, quality, and manufacturability.
- Support prototype development, validation testing, and production launch activities.
- Maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and product databases.

Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in CATIA V5 and NX CAD .
- Experience in Automotive Exhaust Systems design and development.
- Knowledge of sheet metal components, weldments, tubing, and fabrication processes.
- Good understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) .
