Department: Hotel Management
Reporting To: Head of Department / Principal
Key Responsibilities
Teach theoretical and practical subjects related to Food & Beverage Service.
Conduct training in restaurant service, bar operations, room service, banquet service, and guest handling.
Demonstrate table setting, order taking, menu knowledge, service techniques, and billing procedures.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching notes, practical schedules, assignments, and assessment records.
Maintain the F&B; laboratory, equipment, glassware, crockery, cutlery, and stock registers.
Conduct internal examinations, practical assessments, and student performance evaluations.
Train students in grooming, communication, professional etiquette, and hospitality standards.
Organise theme lunches, food festivals, mock restaurants, and hospitality events.
Guide students for internships, campus interviews, competitions, and placements.
Maintain attendance, academic records, lesson completion reports, and student progress reports.
Participate in admissions, examinations, inspections, institutional events,



and departmental activities.
Ensure discipline, safety, hygiene, and professional conduct during practical sessions.
Undertake additional academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the HOD or Principal.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management from a recognised institution.
Minimum 2–3 years of hotel industry or teaching experience, preferably in the Food & Beverage Service department.
Robust practical knowledge of restaurant, banquet, bar, and room-service operations.
Good communication, presentation, classroom-management, and student-handling skills.
Knowledge of computers, PowerPoint presentations, and academic documentation.
