Role Overview

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Software Development Project Director will provide end-to-end delivery governance for large-scale software development and digital transformation programs. The role will own delivery performance, customer satisfaction, financial outcomes, risk management, and leadership of large cross-functional delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Lead and govern end-to-end delivery of complex software development and IT modernization programs, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, timeline, and contractual commitments.
Validate delivery plans, resource strategy, commercial assumptions, and project commitments in collaboration with project and delivery managers.
Oversee program governance through executive steering committees, delivery reviews, and performance dashboards.
Drive SLA/KPI adherence, delivery excellence, continuous improvement, and corrective action plans where required.
Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, and escalations across delivery workstreams.




Own financial management including budget tracking, profitability, margin protection, forecasting, cost optimization, and change request governance.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and govern large-scale delivery organizations of 80-120+ FTEs, including developers, architects, testers, DevOps engineers, project managers, and technical leads.
Drive alignment between client business objectives, delivery roadmap, solution strategy, and committed outcomes.
Participate in staffing strategy, recruitment, onboarding, pyramid shaping, capability development, and succession planning.
Build delivery leadership capability by coaching Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and technical leaders.
Act as the senior client interface for delivery governance, executive communication, issue resolution, and long-term relationship management.
