Job Summary Responsible for end-to-end management of opencast coal mining operations with a specialized focus on finalizing technical contracts and ensuring secure compliant and cost-effective coal production in line with statutory guidelines set by Indian regulatory bodies DGMS CCO etc Key Responsibilities 1 Contract Management Draft lead the evaluation negotiation and finalization of all technical contracts related to open cast coal mining e g overburden removal drilling blasting coal extraction transport logistics Equipment leasing and maintenance etc Coordinate with legal procurement finance and operations teams to ensure contracts are commercially viable and technically sound Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms safety standards and production targets Prepare scope of work SOW tender documents and technical bid evaluations Manage amendments renewals and dispute resolutions related to mining contracts Ensure contracts comply with Indian Mines Act CMR 2017 and applicable procurement norms 2 Coal Production Management Plan direct and control coal production activities to meet daily monthly and annual targets in opencast coal mines Achieve daily monthly and annual coal production and OB removal targets Optimize use of HEMM e g shovels dumpers dozers to maximize equipment availability and productivity Optimize mine design sequence and scheduling to ensure efficient extraction of coal Monitor production KPIs and implement improvements in drilling blasting hauling and loading operations Ensure effective stockpile management and coordination with logistics for seamless dispatch Supervise mine planning short-term and long-term scheduling and bench design in collaboration with planning engineers Maintain coal quality as per linkage agreements or customer specifications GCV ash content 3 Compliance Safety Ensure full compliance with DGMS regulations e g safety inspections statutory returns Coal Controller Organisation CCO reporting Ensure
