This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Contract Mobile App Developer based in India.
This is an prospect for an experienced mobile developer to take ownership of an existing application and bring it through the final stages of development and launch. The app is a creative invitation design and creation platform, with approximately half of its development already completed. You will independently assess the existing codebase, understand its architecture, and deliver the remaining functionality. The role covers both iOS and Android development, as well as integrations, cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting, and release preparation. As the sole developer, you will have significant technical ownership and autonomy over the application. The position is ideal for a hands-on full-stack engineer who enjoys solving problems independently and taking products from an existing codebase through launch and beyond.

Accountabilities




Take ownership of an existing mobile application and conduct a thorough review of its current codebase, architecture, functionality, and technical dependencies.
Work through the handoff from the existing developer and independently understand unfamiliar code, components, workflows, and integrations.
Complete the remaining development required to bring the application from its current stage to a production-ready launch.
Develop, maintain, test, and optimize the application for both iOS and Android using React Native.
Work with existing APIs, cloud infrastructure, databases, third-party services, and external integrations to ensure reliable application functionality.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve bugs, technical issues, performance problems, and integration challenges throughout development and after launch.
