Position Summary

The Associate Professor at UNSW Bengaluru is an academic role focused on delivering high quality teaching, contributing to research, and supporting academic governance. This position is integral to the success of UNSW Bengaluru’s academic mission, ensuring that students receive a world-class education aligned with global standards. The Associate Professor plays a key role in curriculum delivery across undergraduate programs, actively engages in scholarly activity, and fosters an inclusive and a supportive learning workplace. Beyond teaching, the role involves contributing to curriculum innovation, collaborating with colleagues across UNSW campuses, and participating in initiatives that strengthen academic quality and institutional reputation. The Associate Professor is expected to maintain an emerging research profile, contribute to faculty development, and uphold academic standards consistent with UNSW and University Grants Commission (UGC)

Accountabilities

Lead undergraduate teaching aligned with UNSW curricula and UGC standards
Design and review curriculum content, learning activities, and assessment frameworks.
Mentor academic staff and contribute to faculty development programs.
Supervise undergraduate coursework.
Maintain a strong research profile with publications in high-impact journals.
Contribute to academic governance, including committee leadership and policy development.
Ensure compliance with academic integrity, quality assurance, and accreditation standards.
Represent UNSW Bengaluru in academic, industry, and professional forums.
Promote inclusive teaching practices and support student equity and diversity.
Collaborate with UNSW Sydney faculty to ensure curriculum equivalence and research alignment.
