Position Summary
Job Description – Multibeam Hydrographic Surveyor
Experienced Multibeam Hydrographic Surveyor to carry out hydrographic and geophysical surveys on coastal, inland waterway, and port environments. The role includes planning, data acquisition, processing, analysis, quantity calculations, and reporting using Single and Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) and all related survey equipment.
The ideal candidate should have robust knowledge of hydrographic surveying, marine operations, positioning systems, survey control, data processing, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute hydrographic and geophysical surveys according to project Specification and industry standards.
Mobilize, configure, calibrate,
and operate MBES systems and associate survey sensors.
Operate GNSS, RTK, INS/MRU, sound velocity profilers, tide gauges, and other survey equipment.
Establish horizontal and vertical survey control using static GNSS observations and baseline processing in Trimble Business Center (TBC).
Perform control point verification, coordinate computation, and quality checks.
Transfer elevations using digital levels and closed traverse methods.
Conduct hydrographic surveys on offshore, coastal, inland waterway, and port areas.
Carry out patch tests, sensor alignment, calibration, and routine system checks.
Process, clean, validate, and analyze hydrographic survey data.
Prepare survey reports, charts, and project deliverables.
Verify and calculate pre-dredging, interim, and post-dredging quantities and dredging volumes.
Verify and calculate rock placement quantities on a layer-by-layer basis for breakwater, revetment
