Job Purpose
To maintain, repair, and ensure the smooth functioning of all sewing machines and related garment machinery, minimizing machine breakdowns and production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair industrial sewing machines and related equipment.
Strong practical knowledge of sewing machinery is mandatory.
Identify and troubleshoot machine breakdowns and technical issues.
Perform preventive and routine maintenance of sewing machines.
Adjust machine timing, tension, stitch quality, and other settings.
Ensure machines are properly set and ready for production.
Attend breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
Maintain records of machine repairs, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with Production and Operators to resolve machine-related issues.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in the maintenance area.
Required Skills
Mandatory hands-on experience in industrial sewing machine maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of different sewing machines and their mechanisms.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Knowledge of machine setting, timing, tension, and stitch adjustment.
Valuable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under production pressure.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in garment/sewing machine maintenance preferred.
Key Requirement: Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience in industrial sewing machinery maintenance and repair is essential for this position.
