About the Role
Akal Information Systems Ltd. is hiring for a Dubai-based petrochemical and chemical trading company expanding its international operations from Mumbai.
We are looking for a hands-on Head – International Business Development to drive customer acquisition, market development, and revenue growth across GCC, MENA, and Africa.
This is a business-building role, not a conventional account-management position. The ideal candidate should have strong industry relationships and an established international customer/distributor network, enabling them to contribute from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities
Develop international business across GCC, MENA and Africa.
Acquire customers, distributors, importers and trading partners.
Drive business across Base Oils, Lubricants, Solvents, Bitumen, Fuels, Petroleum Products and Chemical Raw Materials.
Develop new markets, distribution channels and revenue opportunities.
Build and lead the international BDM/Sales team.
Set targets, KPIs and incentives and drive team performance.
Own the sales pipeline, forecasting, revenue targets,



and commercial closures.
Lead customer relationships and commercial negotiations.

Mandatory Experience
8–15 years of experience in international petrochemical/chemical trading, distribution or export.
Strong hands-on experience in international B2B sales and current customer acquisition.
Proven exposure to GCC, MENA and/or African markets.
Established network of customers, distributors, importers, traders or industry contacts.
Strong understanding of pricing, Incoterms, payment terms, logistics, documentation and export processes.
Experience managing sales/BD teams with revenue and KPI responsibility.

We are not looking for a generic Sales Head or account manager. Candidates must have proven experience in petrochemical/chemical trading, international market development and new customer acquisition.
