About the Role
RKWI is looking for a Tax Analyst to join its Finance team in Bangalore. This role requires close collaboration with various business and finance teams to understand business operations, identify tax implications, and develop practical tax solutions that support business objectives.
The successful candidate will primarily focus on Indian Direct and Indirect Tax matters, ensuring timely compliance, accurate tax reporting, and effective support for business initiatives. Experience or exposure to the e-commerce/e-retail industry will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic and rapid-paced environment. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Review and manage monthly indirect tax compliance activities, including GST-related filings and reporting.
Validate applicable tax rates and address tax-related queries from vendors and internal stakeholders.
Review TDS deductions, tax payments, and manage quarterly TDS and TCS compliance requirements.
Monitor tax-related statutory deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
Reconciliation & Accounting
Perform and monitor regular tax reconciliations in coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
Manage tax-related general ledger accounts and reconcile tax returns with accounting records.
Support tax provisioning and reporting activities.
Business & Project Support
Provide end-to-end tax guidance and requirements for new business initiatives and projects.
Collaborate with business, finance, legal, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate tax implications of business transactions and processes.
Support the implementation of tax requirements within business systems and processes.
