Role Purpose
The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with contractual and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage integrated project schedules using approved planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Establish planning standards, work breakdown structures (WBS), and scheduling methodologies.
Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to gather progress data and validate schedules.
Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts.
Prepare schedule analyses, look-ahead programs, and recovery plans as required.
Review contractors’ baseline schedules, updates, and claims related to time.
Prepare and present planning reports, dashboards, and progress summaries for management and clients.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and internal planning procedures.
Support project forecasting, milestones tracking, and scenario analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
8–12 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
Solid proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6 preferred).
Solid understanding of project controls, critical path method (CPM), and delay analysis.
Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
