ABOUT THE ROLE
Nalli is a 95-year-old heritage silk brand expanding its merchandise portfolio beyond sarees into ethnic wear and lifestyle categories. We need a sourcing and vendor development specialist who can build the supplier and manufacturer network to support this growth.
The role entails end-to-end ownership of sourcing, vendor development, cost management, and quality across the expanded assortment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchandise sourcing
Source and develop products across:
• Readymade blouses and salwar materials
• Men's, women's, and kids' wear — ethnic and Western
• Accessories (non-ethnic) – sunglasses, shoes, and bags
• Dupattas and shawls
• Home textiles and lifestyle/gifting merchandise
Vendor development
• Identify and onboard suppliers and manufacturers across India, China, Vietnam through active, on-the-ground market discovery.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, exporters, and sourcing partners through regular engagement.
• Develop alternate sourcing channels for key categories.
• Evaluate vendors on quality, pricing, capacity,



compliance, and delivery performance.
Commercial management
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
• Ensure competitive sourcing costs.
• Improve category margins through strategic vendor management.
• Monitor sourcing budgets and purchase commitments.
Quality & compliance
• Ensure products meet Nalli's quality standards.
• Conduct vendor audits and quality reviews.
• Minimize product rejections and customer complaints.
• Drive continuous quality improvements.
Product development on need basis
• Collaborate with vendors to develop exclusive collections for Nalli.
• Work closely with design and merchandising teams during product development.
• Coordinate sample development, approvals, and commercial readiness.
Cross-functional collaboration
Partner closely with Merchandising, Design, Buying, Quality, Planning, Ecommerce, Retail Operations, and Marketing to ensure successful product lau
