The role holder shall support in early screening activities in biologicals, including both probiotics and biomolecules. Sourcing of microbes, biomolecules, screening them and biomolecules with _in-vitro_ testing methods for the purpose of advancing the identified leads from the discovery to early development of innovative microorganisms & biomolecules for crop protection / crop growth / nutrient use efficiency / abiotic stress management with an aim of adding significant value to the business of PI. Manage the requirements/budgets and ensure that project schedules are met and that the work is carried out efficiently and accurately, providing regular updates to the team leader. A positive technical knowledge on biologicals research and excellent communication skills are essential.Strategic Responsibilities:

- Creating proprietary microbial library including but not limited to bacteria, archaea, fungi and viruses

Operational Responsibilities:
- Source Microbes through field explorations, collection from diverse Biomes, institutes & other culture collections
- Design, plan and execute experiments to maximize resources, efficiency and outcome
- Procure material for all screening activities
- Identify microorganisms using morphological & molecular techniques in collaboration with the molecular characterization team
- Conduct in vitro cultivation and evaluation of microorganisms as a service for the profiling and formulation development teams
