Position Title: Sr. Mechanical Tool Design Engineer

Position at: c3controlsIndustrial Automation India Pvt Ltd. (c3IA), Marol, Mumbai

Reports To: Mechanical Tool Design Lead

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for design and development of various types of tools such as injection thermoplastic/thermoset, compression, stamping, forming, bending and die cast tools required for Electrical Controlgear/Switchgear Products and Sub Systems. Other responsibilities involve start to finish ownership of Electrical Products - from specifications to design, prototype, and manufacturing. Cooperative work with Electrical, Electronics, and Product Engineers. Product level mechanical design including selection of material, conceptualization, prototyping, industrial design, detailed design, tool design and testing activities. To ensure all products (and designs) comply with defined performance, quality, industrialization, and manufacturing objectives and targets. Supports continuous improvement of product development, manufacturing and customer service.

▪ Analyze/understand competitors’ design,



technological interventions and manufacturing process methodology adapted in their products

▪ Design & develop creative concepts with an industrial design approach based on the primary and secondary research which are innovative and qualify for an IPR for the organization

▪ Design components, sub-assemblies, product assemblies and 2D drawings using cad software Inventor that shall deliver the expected performance while working in tandem with other technological domain elements of the product

▪ Design and develop various types of tools such as injection, compression, sheet metal, forming, bending, die cast tools and 2D drawings required for various Electro Mechanical products

▪ Work closely with vendors to create a prototype of a design in order to conduct testing/validation and modify the design based on the prototype test outcome
