Primary Purpose Summary

Required Qualifications
- Education
- Degree /PG/Diploma in Material Management preferred
- Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in Purchase (Imports & Exports) in a manufacturing unit.
- Skills
- Ensure Purchase processes and procedures are maintained with consistency for Purchase to Pay
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
- Proficiency in SAP MM module, Excel, Power Point
- Understanding/Eager to learn about Product knowledge, Catalogs, Specifications, Packing details, MOQ, Price, Lead-time, Sourcing locations

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

IMPORT : (AIR & SEA) End to End operations
- Well-versed in Logistic planning, Inco-Terms, Insurance claim, import documentations etc.
- Contract finalization with forwarders and CHA agents
- Well-versed in freight costing (Air/Sea/Surface)
- Selection of CHA/Forwarder/CFS/Shipping lines/Local transportation
- Customs Clearance - (Checklist confirmation,



Icegate status, BL confirmation at Origin, Intimation to finance for duty accrual, on-time duty payment follow up).
- Customs handling - (Checklist conformation & BL conformation at origin).
- Purchase Operations (Forecast to suppliers, Import Tracker, OC and follow up, no detention charges, late penalty on BOE, additional WH charges etc.)
- Well versed process of IDPMS.
- Insurance claim

EXPORT : (Air & Sea)
- Align weekly weekly/monthly exports schedules with Customer support.
- Well-versed in Logistic planning (Air/Sea/Surface), Inco-Terms, Insurance claim and export documentations
- Dealing with Govt. agency to arrange COO, AI and any other export document as per export Country's requirement
- Should have thorough knowledge export incentives, Advance Licenses, EPCG and dealing with DGFT.
- Knowledge about closure/completion of export activities
- Knowledge about BRC (Bank Realization Certificate)
