Audit & Tax Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and perform bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare and review GST returns, GST reconciliations, and GST compliance reports.
- Handle TDS calculations, return filing, and reconciliations.
- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, LLPs, and companies.
- Pass accounting journal entries and ensure proper ledger maintenance.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with clients for collection of financial and compliance-related information.
- Assist in responding to notices and queries from tax authorities.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications




- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and audit.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting principles.
- Experience in bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Basic Formulas, Data Management).
- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant (CA) Firm.
- Working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
- Experience in handling multiple client accounts.
